At NGA, we’re celebrating one of our latest and most important accolades: The prestigious Company to Watch award for the Italian HR administration and management market.
Recognized for outstanding performance and vision, NGA Human Resources received the award from DataBank, Cerved Group, a leader in business information services, including market research and marketing.
NGA had a fantastic time at the HR Technology conference in Las Vegas where we had the opportunity to meet with our current and future customers, partners, analysts & advisors. In addition, seeing first-hand that our industry continues to expand and innovate and attending the many enriching sessions was an invaluable experience. We were excited to see the spotlight shine on cloud-based technology, and NGA provided numerous demonstrations of our global HR and Payroll tools that help organizations increase efficiencies, mitigate risk and reduce costs.
After having spent a few months in the epicenter of the Asian economic miracle, Singapore, I had the urge to put down some thoughts on what the HR services market looks like in the larger Far East region, also referred to as the Asian Tiger. People tend to discuss Asia very casually, as a single unit, similar to say, the European Union. This kind of generalization is an oversimplification of a very complex region that deserves to be level set, as the economic importance of the Asian region continues to grow.
Payroll is by no means an easy task. Continuous changes in local legislation, changing auditing standards, high union involvement, increasing demands to pay employees based on performance, making sure employees receive the correct pay, are all factors that can make your payroll a time consuming and costly process.
NGA’s recently released Payroll Complexity Index gives an interesting overview of where in the world payroll is most complex and makes an interesting read for payroll professionals.
